Prototype Smart Pill Notification System

BLE Smart Pill Notification

The system consists of an Android app, a pillbox with an accelerometer, and an Edison board running Android Things. The Android app sends notifications to the user when it is time to take their medication. The pillbox has an accelerometer that detects when the pill is taken. The Edison board receives the time of the pill from the pillbox and sends it to the Android app via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The Android app then sends the time of the pill to a Firebase database, which can be used to alert the hospital or a loved one that the user is taking their pills.
